- introduction services
- Our Site operates a platform to allow us to introduce you to plumbers and heating engineers in your local area (the Introduction Services).
- In order to make use of the Introduction Services, you are required to post details of the plumbing or heating works that you require to be carried out, the location and the timescale for completion of the works (your “Requirements”). We will then post details of your Requirements and your contact details on the jobs board of our affiliate application Gas App UK. Plumbers and heating engineers who are subscribers to Gas App UK will then be able to contact you directly in order to provide you with a quotation or estimate or other proposal for the necessary works, or to request further information. Any such quotation, estimate or other proposal is provided by the plumbers and heating engineers, and not by us.
- You are free to accept or decline any quotation, estimate or other proposal submitted by a plumber or heating engineer. In the event that you wish to accept any quotation, estimate or other proposal, you shall respond to the relevant plumber or heating engineer directly and you will enter into a direct contractual relationship with the relevant plumber or heating engineer. You acknowledge that we are not a party to that contract and we have no obligation or liability under that contract. You should ensure that the terms of your contract with the plumber or heating engineer are recorded in writing.
- In order to control the number of responses that you may receive from plumbers and heating engineers, we will only provide your Requirements and your contact details available to the first three plumbers or heating engineers that respond to your request on the Gas App UK jobs board. our Requirements and contact details will remain on the jobs board on Gas App UK until the earlier of (i) us being notified by a plumber or heating engineer that their quotation, estimate or proposal has been accepted by you or (ii) [two weeks] from its date of posting.
- In providing the Introduction Services we do not guarantee that any plumbers or heating engineers will respond to your Requirements. Plumbers and heating engineers are not obliged to respond to any Requirements, they may do so, or decline to do so, in their absolute discretion.
- In providing the Introduction Services, we are only responsible for providing the platform to allow you to be introduced to plumbers and heating engineers. We are not responsible for any goods or services provided by any such plumbers or heating engineers, or for the quality or standards of such goods or services. You select and use any plumbers or heating engineers at your own risk and you shall be responsible for selecting any plumbers and heating engineers by assessing their suitability and, for example, reading online reviews and/or requesting testimonials or recommendations. You should ensure that any plumber or heating engineer has all relevant qualifications, accreditations and certifications necessary for the performance of the relevant works, including that they are listed on the Gas Safe Register if applicable. You acknowledge that we do not vet, verify, review or monitor any plumbers or heating engineers and that we do not otherwise make any recommendation as to the suitability or standards of any particular plumbers or heating engineers.
- If you have any complaints in relation to the quality or standards of goods or services provided, you should contact the relevant plumber or heating engineer directly. We are not responsible for managing any such complaints and will not have any obligation to become involved in any dispute that you may have with any plumbers or heating engineers.
- In the event that you believe that a response from a plumber or heating engineer presents a security risk or otherwise is likely to contravene our standards or acceptable use policy, please notify us using the contact details set out above.
- We will not charge you for providing you with the Introduction Services or for posting your Requirements and contact details on our affiliate application Gas App UK. We will not be paid directly by any plumbers or heating engineers who respond to your Requirements or when you enter into a contract with any plumber or heating engineer. Plumbers and heating engineers are required to pay a monthly fee to subscribe to Gas App UK.
